1500hr Barber Program

The Barber 1500-hour training course teaches basic hands-on haircutting techniques, shaving, proper sanitation, and business skills. We emphasize how to be professional and prepare each individual for the IIIinois State Board Barbering Exam and Licensure.

Reference:

The program of study uses Milady’s Standard Professional Barbering, Sixth Edition textbook. Milady is used to assist students with the history of barbering, chapter learning and exam testing, which allows basic theory instruction in today’s Barber industry.

Barber Bridge
Program

(Requires Cosmetology License)

The Barber Stylist Bridge Course is a 600 hour course that  teaches basic hands-on haircutting techniques, shaving, proper sanitation, and basic business skills. We emphasize professionalism and the preparation of each individual for the Illinois State Board Barbering Exam and Licensure.

The program of study uses Milady’s Standard Professional Barbering, Sixth Edition textbook. Milady is used to assist students with the history of barbering, chapter learning and exam testing, which allows basic theory instruction in today’s Barber industry.

Barber Instructor Program

The Barber Instructor  training course teaches basic hands-on instruction for individual training, lesson planning, physical demonstration, testing and preparing student assignments. We emphasize professionalism and the preparation of each individual for the Illinois State Board Barber Instructor Exam and Licensure. The amount of hours required for this course depends on the length of time the barber has been licensed.

 

600 hours are required for the Barber who has been licensed for 3+ years. 1000 hours are required for the Barber who has been licensed for less than 3 years.

Reference:

The program of study uses Milady’s Master Educator, Third Edition textbook. Milady is used to prepare students with the teaching skills and educational judgments necessary to become an effective and successful instructor who is able to adapt to the changing landscape of today’s classroom.
